Sizing & Product Care
// FIT, MEASUREMENT & CARE GUIDE //
KTT products use several different blanks, fabrics, cuts, and fulfillment partners. A size label is not a universal measurement. The safest method is to compare the item-level size chart with a garment or piece of gear you already own.
How to measure a shirt or hoodie
- Lay a similar garment flat without stretching it.
- Width: measure straight across from one armpit seam to the other.
- Length: measure from the high point of the shoulder near the collar to the bottom hem.
- Sleeve, center back: when the product chart uses this measurement, start at the center back of the neck, continue across the shoulder, and finish at the end of the cuff.
- Compare those numbers with the product chart rather than relying only on the size printed in your existing garment.
What the fit descriptions mean
- Standard or classic fit: intended to follow a conventional unisex profile without deliberate extra volume.
- Relaxed fit: more room through the body and shoulders than a standard cut.
- Oversized fit: intentionally loose. Do not automatically size up unless you want an especially large profile.
- Athletic fit: usually closer to the body or shorter through the leg. Check the item measurements carefully.
When you fall between two sizes, decide whether you prefer a closer fit or room for layering. The individual product description and measurements take priority over this general guide.
Hats and beanies
Measure around the widest part of your head, usually just above the eyebrows and ears. Compare that circumference with the product’s listed range. Stretch-fit caps adjust only within their stated size band. For the TV-D1 Beanie, the regular size is intended to fit close; the product page notes when sizing up creates a slouchier profile.
Printed cotton and cotton-blend apparel
- Wash cold, inside out, with like colors.
- Use mild detergent.
- Tumble dry low or air dry when practical.
- Do not iron directly over printed artwork.
- Follow the sewn-in or printed care label whenever it differs from this general guidance.
Garment-dyed heavyweight tees
Garment dye creates a broken-in surface and can produce normal shade variation between pieces. Wash cold with similar colors, especially during the first several washes. Small differences in shirt color or print placement are normal for made-to-order production and do not automatically indicate a defect.
All-over-print polyester apparel
Several TV-D1 and KTT athletic products use sublimated or all-over-print polyester. Follow the item label carefully. Many of these products should be washed cold and dried on low, without bleach, direct ironing, or dry cleaning. Double-layer areas can show faint pattern detail from the inner layer, particularly in lighter artwork.
Bags and soft accessories
Spot clean with mild soap and cool water unless the supplied care label states otherwise. Water-resistant fabric is not the same as waterproof construction. Protect electronics and moisture-sensitive contents during prolonged exposure.
Embroidered patches
Check the product page for the attachment method. Most current KTT embroidered patches support iron-on, sew-on, or safety-pin attachment and do not include hook-and-loop backing. Sewing provides the most durable attachment for hard use. If ironing, test the garment material first and follow the heat instructions supplied with the patch; some technical fabrics should not receive high heat.
Vinyl stickers and decals
- Apply only to a clean, dry, smooth surface.
- Remove dust, oil, wax, and moisture before application.
- Align the decal before pressing it down.
- Press from the center outward to reduce trapped air.
- Allow the adhesive to set before washing or exposing the surface to hard weather.
Outdoor life varies with the surface, preparation, abrasion, UV exposure, temperature, and weather.
Desk mats
Spot clean with mild soap and cool water. Allow the mat to dry flat before putting electronics or desk equipment back on it. Avoid high heat that can damage the rubber base or printed surface.
Made-to-order variation
Digital mockups show the intended design, but screens display color differently and made-to-order production can create small normal differences in placement, garment shade, or edge alignment. A material difference, production error, or damaged item should still be reported promptly with the order number and clear photos.
